RN Barb Clark was in the middle of a workers comp lawsuit with the hospital Adventist Health System in Roseville, Californiaand and felt safe enough to be questioned by a criminal psychologist. Instead of being questioned, Ms. Clark claims to have been harshly interrogated in what felt like a military fashion. She thought that she would be protected by HIPAA and DHHS but wasn’t.
There are now allegations that a very sensitive and private interrogation report was sent by an adventist lawyer to more than 10 people in an attempt to destroy her case against the hospital and ruin her career. Barb Clark says that for over a year her complaint has been sitting on the desk of the DHHS and she can’t understand why this investigation is taking so long.
Whatever the outcome of this case be very wary of “answering questions” when it comes to anything like this.
